Reproductive rights are basic to freedom, privacy and health for women and men in the United States.

For the next two years, Quixote Foundation funding will help support a reproductive justice collaborative seeking fresh approaches to reproductive rights related law, public policy and public messaging.

The collaborative will convene a select group of activists to place issues of sexual and reproductive freedom in a new context that fully honors women, families and children.

Our funding is committed throughout 2008, and we're not accepting Letters of Inquiry in this area.

Our overall goals for U.S. reproductive rights are:

  • all individuals are free to control their own reproductive decisions

  • birth control, abortion and other reproductive health services are available without financial, geographic or social discrimination

  • individuals consider world population as one factor when making thoughtful reproductive decisions
