U.S. reproductive rights are basic human rights for all people in this country.

Quixote Foundation funding will be devoted to finding fresh approaches for reproductive rights related law, public policy and public messaging. We’re not accepting Letters of Inquiry in this area.  Please check back throughout 2010 as we may issue a request for proposals later in the year.

Goals:

  • People have freedom, power and access to make their own reproductive decisions without discrimination
  • People consider world populations when making those decisions

Core approaches and concerns:

  • Reach a new generation with a framework and messages more compelling than Roe v. Wade
  • Create a larger discussion and policy context involving thoughtful reproductive decisions overall
  • Explore the intertwined issues of reproductive planning and environmental/climate protection

How we pursue our work:

  • Support development of new legal and communication strategies
  • Support policies that represent a structure for independent, private decision-making
