Please use the form on this page to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) to Quixote Foundation.

Be sure to complete the following steps before submitting your LOI:

  1. Review our areas of interest to see whether your work is a direct fit with current Quixote Foundation priorities. Please don't submit an LOI if the relationship between our interests and your work is vague. We really and truly don't stretch our own guidelines to fund in areas not described on this site.

  2. If your work does address one of our priorities, please check to make sure we're currently accepting inquiries in the pertinent interest area before you submit a form. If we're not asking for LOIs in a particular area, don't submit one, because we won't review it.

Organizational information

Quixote Foundation accepts LOIs only from IRS 501(c)(3) organizations whose tax-exempt status is current and can be verified. It's kind of similar to how we feel about election integrity and electronic voting machines--eventually we'll want to see a paper trail!

Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

Primary Contact Information

Please use this section to let us know who the best contact is for communication about your LOI and the grant application process.

type of inquiry

Select the Quixote Foundation interest area your LOI addresses. If the area you hoped to submit in doesn't appear on the drop-down list, it's not missing by mistake--it's omitted because we currently aren't accepting letters in that interest area. Please check back frequently for updates.

LOI text

So...what do you have in mind? You can submit up to 5,200 characters, counting the spaces, which is equivalent to a typical page of text plus a smidgen more ('cause we're nice like that).

Please briefly describe your organization's mission and the amount you anticipate requesting, then focus on the good stuff: what you're up to, how you want to use the money, who else you're working with and what you intend to achieve. If we want more background or organizational information we'll ask for it later.

Be prepared to write or paste the whole text into this form because you won't be able to save a draft. After you hit the "submit" button, a confirmation page will appear. We'll also send an email message to the primary contact listed above, including a copy of the LOI text you submitted.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Time for a little foundation tough love!
